The man known only as “Logan” was kidnapped by the Weapon X Program and became a test subject. During his captivity, his skeleton was forcibly augmented with adamantium, an indestructible metal. This gave him a super healing ability, making him resistant to physical harm, chemicals, and poisonous gases. At one time, he worked as a secret agent for the Canadian government but refused to follow protocol and eventually went off on his own. After traveling on his own for quite some time, Logan found his way to Professor Charles Xavier’s mutant academy and joined the X-Men. As part of the X-Men, Wolverine made some friends and enemies and developed a strong attraction towards Jean Grey. His arch-rival is Sabretooth.
