SFO is one of the best 56k dial up modem fighters ever created for PC. You just had to been there in the 2000s.

I have met a lot of people from all over the word playing this game, and a lot of us are like a big family to me. The back and forth “WWE” style beef and handling it over a game throwing HADOUKENS back and forth trying to take over RANK 1. Ahh good times.

This community is one of the greatest I’ve ever been apart of. Over the years, the player base has grown from friends that I can kick a couple hours with, to genuine family members, and it’s the number one reason why I’m still here today.

The SFO Community Taught me Maturity. It taught me how to conduct myself around other brilliant minds. I’ve made real life brothers, from this amazing online game and community. SFO was my foundation.
Evil-Blanka
The game taught me that beating your opponent is not the most important, it is to defeat yourself

I supported back in the day not a huge tournament head back in the day..but love fighting games and discovered SFO on forums many afternoons playing online.

This game was epic for me growing up. It was a lot of competition, teamwork, and an overall great experience in my early life.

SFO was one of the most addicting games I ever played in my life and it wasn’t only just the game is was the community.. it brought a love and a passion to a game I never experienced before.. also growing up black and in the hood this game kept me out the streets most summers
Rashiz
SFO has been a part of my childhood I’ve experienced nothing but good people there and some really competitive fights especially the brawls they were so good I’ve only been in top of the leaderboards like 3 times

I’ve been a part of the SFO community when the only playable character was Ryu (XMvSF). SFO was more than just a game to me. It was a community where I made friends, learned real life skills such as Photoshop, web developing, tinkering with computers, among many other things.
Many of the things I’ve learned have followed me into my adulthood and helped me throughout my life. I’m forever grateful for the experience and can’t wait to get back to it!

I spent so much of my childhood playing this game, and I’ve made life long friends from it. It’s good to be back! Here’s to another 26 years
Blaze
Playing SFO was amazing growing up and I will still play the game today if it was ever running again. The most memorable moment I had in the game was when myself and SFO-Blazin teamed up to a brawl match against another team and won. It was so awesome.

As a young kid growing up in Brooklyn back in the days, it was not easy to stay out of trouble, hanging on the streets after school, running into the wrong group of people at the wrong time. If it wasn’t for SFO maybe I would be locked up right now, or even dead. But at the end of it all, SFO saved my life.

I found SFO in the late 2000s after watching my brother Randell play. It kept me out of trouble, gave me real friends, and felt like a nonstop party. From sponsorship grinds to training servers, SFO’s flavor never needed updates. Best game ever. Thanks, SFO community.
