Full Circle

On March 13th, 2017 we reached a difficult time in our community when the donations for 2017 were at $10 total (instead of the $196 monthly that is need to operate SFO). In addition, the community has hit a 2017 low point with a total of 9 logins daily.

Moving forward to the present time: on Tuesday February 14, 2018, SFO had a total of 18 logins (a new record low compared to our 2017 record of 1142 players daily). In addition, for this entire month, we were only able to raise $15 worth of donations from a total of 2 players.

No matter how you look at it, one thing we have to recognize is that SFO has come a full circle.

Not to alarm everyone, but as it stands, our only course of action is to schedule yet another absolute-final SFO funeral. If we are NOT able to raise enough funds to cover operations by February 18th 2018, then the most likely date for the funeral will be March 18th, 2018. Keep an eye on the Monthly Operations Dream Goal percentage bars if you need the latest stats on the condition of SFO.

That said, based on the recent SFO news post stats, there are at least 254 active players still left in this community. If those 254 would be able to donate just $10 once per year, then SFO would be able to cover it’s $200/month operational costs for the entire year!

If anyone out there still has a $5 or a $10 to spare in order to keep SFO alive indefinitely (if only for nostalgia reasons), then it is still NOT too late. But as always, harsh-times has fallen on many, so perhaps asking every SFO player to spare $10 just once per year is too much of a burden at this point. And if that’s the case, then we have to face the reality of the situation.

While we were in the process of organizing new in-game SFO events, updates, fixes and a brand new Advertising Dream Goal (which would allow for SFO to invite potential new players into the community), all of these things have to be put on hold if we are not able to cover even the basic monthly operational costs. As you all know, it is very difficult to plan next month’s community event, if you are not sure of how you’ll survive the current month.

In a few days time, SFO will be 2 months behind on it’s operational costs, which makes us a prime-target for a service disconnect in the next 33 days. Thank you all who have supported us over the years, and all those who came to our aid when we needed you the most.
