The Future of Anti-Cheat

Welcome true believers to yet another episode of “The Future of SFO”. In today’s article, we will be talking about the future of Anti-Cheat with it’s relation to the upcoming 1080p game changes.

As it stands, the Game Vindicator (also known as GV) was always designed to be a total solution for all versions of SFO (including exclusive web-based gaming with full support for dial-up players). But as the decades rolled on (and the browser market has all but vanished with continued desertion from Adobe) this means that in today’s world, it is safe to say that more than 99% of all future new players will be enjoying the game as a standalone Windows or Mac product.

As such, the future of flawless 1080p rollout (also known as Step 2 of the Revival Process) will depend on all key aspects of the game (including the Anti-Cheat properties of GV) to be fully integrated within the core package. If such integration is not possible during the initial release (be it due to budget or development time concerns) than we will have to fall back on to the lesser solutions (such as GV emulation within the core of the game).

But rest assured, sooner or later, the absolute final Revival Release is aiming to deliver a near 100% smooth all-in-one integration of all aspects of the game into a single package. What does this mean for the new players? A smooth and hassle free new account creation, along with seamless server (re)connection.

Imagine if you will a scenario like this:

A brand new player who has never ever used SFO in the past, will download a single portable EXE package (that will be 100% free from viruses and malware). Upon execution, SFO will open in true 1080p mode, taking up the entire screen of the Windows or Mac computer (as do all other professional downloadable titles). SFO will also auto-login to the Auth server with the last known Login/Pass (which will be stored locally on the system, with true 128 bit encryption). If the user wishes to change accounts (or create a new one), or log-out, or to disable auto-logon, or play as Anonymous, such functions will still be available from within the new 1080p menu. But for the first-time players, the aim is to deliver a seamless and hassle-free experience (which mimics the professional flow of a true triple-A console title).

If you haven’t done so already, make sure to check out last year’s 1080p preview of everything mentioned above. The final results will be as good as or better than what is seen in the preview:
